For years I had a hard time finding a consistent shoe source, until I landed on my secret weapon. The number one shoe source around has all of my favorite shoe brands, and at a decent price. It seems shoe companies all follow the course of Nike after a period of time. They start out making quality products with good leather, etc. Then after some time they drop the quality, and pick up the price. It seems like a contradiction, but it’s just sort of how the shoe business works. Get a reputation for making quality products at good prices, then lower the quality, and increase the price to maximize profits.

A new shoe in project

Well I’ve got a new project in mind, that I believe should be a shoe in! I was thinking of doing some sort of 30 day shoe blogging challenge, but not 100% sure I’ll be doing that just yet. Gonna get started on this project ASAP! Luckily for me my work on The Bible Animated will transfer almost directly over to this new project.

Sell your old mobile phone

I’ve often wondered why people willingly toss their old cell phones into those recycling bins. Don’t they know their old mobile phones are valuable? Most people switch out their phones every other year, or as their carrier allows… but there’s a lot of people who don’t have mobile carrier packages that allow you to do that, and don’t have hundreds of dollars to shell out for a new mobile every other year. Not wanting to be left behind, these people will pay for your old mobile phone! When you’re getting a free, or basically free phone every other year doesn’t it make sense to sell your mobile to someone who will use it? You could recollect the small premium you pay for a new phone, or even make a little profit… simply because you chose not to throw away your old mobile, but sell it instead!

To me this seems like a no-brainer situation, you get a new phone every couple of years for free, other people don’t but would like to. So you sell your old mobile phone to them. They win by getting a last generation phone replacing their aging dinosaur of a phone, you win because you make money off of what your mobile phone carrier gave you simply for being a faithful customer. Now I’m no economist, but I would say that’s not such a bad deal for anyone! And the environmentalists win too! Cell phone recycling is good, but still takes large amounts of energy to process the old phones into their raw materials so that they can be used again. This keeps those old phones on the street a little longer and gets more use out of them before they are reclaimed and processed into new products, keeping the environment in that much better shape!

I code websites for a living, being a work from home dad it’s a great profession that is easy to integrate into our life and daily activities. Staying home helps our family save on childcare costs, and it doesn’t cut into my work time… But lets face it… it’s not the easiest job in the world to stay motivated at, especially from home. Occasionally I get distracted by games, or use them for stress relief. I prefer online games because they don’t break up my work flow as much as a full screen game that requires much of my computers resources to run. Online flash games are great though because they don’t require so much of my computers resources and I can work through coding problems in my head while I’m distracted by a flash game for a little bit to help me relax. When I’m done with my online game I can go straight back to coding without worrying about saves, or needing to finish a level before I can get out of the game. A vacuum cleaner reviews experiment on my shoes blog dawg

Okay, so I understand that this is my shoes blog, but I’m running a short little experiment that may last for a couple days on vacuum cleaner reviews. So the question is does this place fair better, or rather does my vacuum cleaner reviews sites fair better when I write about vacuum cleaner reviews, or reviews in general? Or should I just stick on my shoe topic and leave it at that? Does mingling shoes and vacuum cleaners reviews screw with my ratings, or is it helpful, or does it do nothing? Eh, only time shall tell right? Generally speaking, whether you are talking about vacuum cleaners or shoes the main thing that matters is the amount of work that you put into it. So after a 30 day blogging challenge where I reviewed hundreds of items, and did a lot of work getting the templates for my shoes blog here ready for a long haul run… then never went the long haul… well it only makes sense to pop in occasionally with some shoes news from time to time ya know? But that’s not really what today is about, for the most part today is about my vacuum cleaner comparison site that does decently well, but not as well as last year… so the goal is to regain the supremacy that I had on the vacuum cleaner rankings stuff again. So how does one do that? Well that is the question of the hour is it not? In general being so lack luster and spreading the same message over a wide birth of topics is not a great thing… but I am hoping that I can make this vacuum cleaner reviews topic long enough to make up for the indiscretions that may present themselves at times. I think that what I am missing may be much worse than just a few vacuum cleaner reviews, but rather a vacuum cleaner content lack… so we shall see. Onward and upward though, that is the shoes way right? Or is that just the best vacuum cleaner ratings talking to me?

Since this is my shoes blog I guess it is appropriate that I share that my shoes reviews will be somewhat lacking for a while. I’ve got a whole bunch of work to do with multiple projects, including but not limited to The Bible Animated! Got a whole lotta stuff to do, but The Bible Animated is kind of priority in the matter. It is a huge undertaking with CakePHP and I’m the only one working on it, so it’s hard to find the motivation… also it’s hard to keep up with this shoes reviews blog when I’ve got so much to do with The Bible Animated. Anyways, we’ll be back to the shoes blog at some point in time, just not right this second since I’ve got several other projects to build on, also including a food site HealthyBudgetCooking.com to help people learn to do Healthy Budget Cooking
